Don't you mean 'muzzle'? I've never heard to it referred to as a nozzle before.

Other than that, good post. I'm saving up (and practicing) to get a handgun to serve as an easier-to-ready backup to my shotgun.

Well if you look at Surefire, the physical size is limited across the product line to pocket size. Very convenient compared to the bigger Maglights of years ago. As far as lumen, you can easily get 200 lumens in several models but a 65-100 lumen lumen light will more than cause a blinding effect in an attacker's eyes in the darkness.
